About The Foundation
Following Adam’s death on 10th August 2010 and his funeral on 25th August 2010, Adam’s wife Marie and his immediate family were completely stunned and overwhelmed by the amount of support which was displayed by football fans, not just from the clubs he played for but from all over the country. The family became very aware that people wanted to do charitable / fundraising activities in Adam’s memory and they decided that Adam’s death should not be in vain and in September 2010 the Adam Stansfield Foundation was formed. The foundation is committed to providing charitable funds for young people / youth football teams who would benefit from the assistance.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of children and young people up to the age of 16 residing in Devon, Herefordshire and Somerset by the provision of grants and facilities for playing football
