I have been a supporter of Exeter City FC for about 6 years and during my first visits to St James Park, it soon become apparent Adam was a fan’s favourite.   To me he was the perfect role model for all young aspiring footballers  which to me was important as I have a young boy who also lives and breathes football.  Although I never ‘personally’ knew Adam, I had met him on quite a few occasions and he was always so friendly and genuine that you couldn’t help but feel like you knew him.

It was with shock and disbelief when I heard of his illness and then ultimately of his death.  When the Foundation was formed in Adam’s memory, I was lucky enough to have the chance to run in the 5K Great West Run for the Foundation.   My running progressed and the following year I managed to complete the Great West Run Half Marathon again ‘for Stanno’.

The Foundation has always been a charity close to my heart and when I heard they were looking for a Secretary, I instantly put my name forward and was delighted when my application was accepted.  I joined the ‘team’ in November 2012 and happy that I can continue to do my bit in Adam’s memory.
